Who We Are

The CDSN is a non-profit public benefit agency designed to stabilize and professionalize the direct service workforce. The CDSN provides recruitment, retention, training, and HR administrative services to community provider agencies. It is governed by a board of directors that represents consumers and their families, advocates, community provider agencies and experts in the field.

Community provider agencies—by helping them recruit and retain qualified workers, reducing administrative and health insurance costs, and providing HR expertise.

Consumers and their families—by helping agencies build a stable and professional direct support workforce for person-centered services.

What’s Our Mission

Increase the availability and quality of consumer-directed community-based services for people with developmental disabilities by improving the recruitment, retention, training, and career opportunities of direct support workers, lowering the cost and improving the quality of service provider human resources administration, and incubating new service agencies.
